Living Room in a Canonbury House
My job in this instance was to reinvent a main living room/TV room into a 21st century entertaining space that looked sleek, bold and modern. I started off by buying a designer Italian sofa (designed by Marco Lipparini): this indulgent, modern sofa set the tone for the room as it established a low-line look to the room. To compensate for our Italian sofa and give the room a classic English feel in some way I decided to buy a classic English chair that is independent and elegant. The fact that the rug is Indian illustrates the extent to which I appreciate melding styles and bringing a completely unique look to whichever room I am working on.

The walnut unit is gorgeous and was designed in Paris: it cleverly hides the radiator although it is a grand piece of furniture in its own right. I used lamps in this instance to finish off the room, they are bold and eccentric which contrasts well to the sleek diligence that the rest of the room adheres to.
I love this room because it will provoke a reaction: it is very streamlined and is full of wonderful pieces. I feel it exudes a loft type atmosphere with its dark floors and angled distribution of furniture and it is a symbol of luxurious 21st century living in London.
Client feedback
"Our experience in re-designing our living space was extremely positive. Kia and the team were bursting with great ideas but at the same time they were sensitive to our needs and tastes as the customer. Consequently we felt like the process was very inclusive and the results bear this out. Not only was the design process very professional but the delivery and fitting was also totally seamless, which was especially important to ourselves as we have a young daughter. I have already recommended Revelloyd to some friends"
